Nye Parry: Gamelan
Nye is a founder Member of Gamelan Lilacita, a Balinese performing group based at City University in London. In 2003 he was commissioned to write the piece Lilacita for the group. In 2006 the group took this piece to the Bali Arts Festival in Denpasar.
He is also a former member of the South Bank Gamelan Players (Javanese Gamelan) and plays Gamelan Angklung with Kembang Kirang. With these groups he has performed in such diverse venues as the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Glastonbury, St James' Palace and the Brixton Academy as well as concerts around europe and an appearance on MTV unplugged with Bjork.
In 2005 he created Fuzzy Logic for the LSO Community Gamelan Group and 5 members of the LSO with Ambisonic surround sound.
