Nye Parry: Teaching Nye is currently programme leader for the MA in Sonic Arts at the Lansdown Centre for Electronic Arts at Middlesex University. The MA provides a unique research environment for practitioners in a wide variety of sonic arts practice and is a meeting point for artists from a wide variety of backgrounds including fine arts, music and preformance. Nye also teaches regularly on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is a visiting lecturer at Goldsmiths College and London University of the Arts. Since 1999 he has made a regular contribution to the BBC's featuristic training course, which aims to allow experienced radio producers to make adventurous work and experiment with the form of radio features. From 1997 - 2003 Nye worked as a tutor for the Drake Music Project, specialising in using technology to increase access to physically disabled musicians. As a visiting lecturer Nye has spoken at universities, colleges and galleries in London, Munich, Milan, Paris, Dubai, and Istanbul and Bangalore. | |
